Talking over mobile phone and walking on the rail-track, 2 died being hurt by moving trains
While talking on a mobile phone, a man and a woman were killed when they were run over by a moving train while walking along the railtrack. The deceased were identified as Sahara Begum, 22, daughter of Ibrahim of Gobindopur village under Adamdighi upazila of Bogra and Abdur Rahman, 67, son of Ayaz Uddin of Bharua village under Bhuapur upazila of Tangail.
The two incidents took place at Santahar Railway Police Station in Adamdighi on the Bonapara-Khulna railway line on Friday evening. After the autopsy, the body was handed over to their families by the Railway Police.
Santahar Railway (GRP) Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saqiul Azam said Sahara Begum was hit by a train on the railway line in front of Hugol Baria Fertilizer Warehouse of Santahar Railway Police Station on Friday evening. On the same day, an old man named Abdur Rahman was killed on the spot when he was hit by a train south of Poonta railway gate of Santahar station. Two UD cases have been registered with the Railway Police in these two accidents.
